Report Winter Storm Property Damage

News & Announcements Posted on January 29, 2026

Residents with property damage to their homes or businesses caused by the winter ice storm are being asked to complete the Individual State of Texas Assessment Tool (iSTAT) damage survey.

In addition to helping city, county and state officials determine eligibility for various forms of disaster assistance, the information provided in this self-reported damage assessment survey aids officials in connecting impacted Texans with available resources to assist with the disaster recovery process.

Surveys can be filled out in English and Spanish by visiting
damage.tdem.texas.gov and clicking “January 22 Winter Weather." For assistance with determining how to classify the level of damage, click on this link this guideline to damage assessment. A helpful "How to Get Started" video is here.

Reports of damage outside of private property (streets, traffic signals, signage, etc.) should be reported to the City's Office of Emergency Management by calling Chief David Rainwater at 903-935-4582 or emailing here.
