Bottled Water Distribution is No Longer Necessary

News & Announcements Posted on January 27, 2026 | Last Updated on January 29, 2026

UPDATE: Water storage levels are recovering. Leak Repairs and Water Usage Monitoring Continues.

Using smart meter technology, city officials have identified 35 locations with the city with abnormally high water usage. Field investigations confirmed leaks, which were immediately isolated by shutting off water to prevent further loss. Overnight, water storage towers and clear water wells showed strong recovery. This improvement is attributed to reduced system demand during off-peak hours and the successful isolation of identified leaks.

Repair crews are mobilizing today to address these issues and will continue system-wide monitoring. All currently identified repairs are expected to be completed by the end of business day. As temperatures continue to rise above freezing, city officials anticipate the possibility of additional line breaks and are prepared to respond quickly.

To report a leak, call 903-935-4487.
