News & Announcements Posted on August 27, 2025

The City's vision for a safe, well-maintained, responsive, innovative and financially-sound community with an exceptional quality of life is the focus of the Fiscal Year 2026 Budget. This budget funds improvement to infrastructure, investments in the workforce and enhancements to communication and customer service.

Improving the city's infrastructure requires making significant investments in streets, water, wastewater, fire services, technology, parks and developing a five-year plan to fund major construction projects across the city.

"Investing in our valued staff continues to be a priority," said City Manager Melissa Vossmer. "This budget includes a three percent pay increase for all employees."

The FY 26 Budget is $50,939,330 and the tax rate is $0.581518 per $100 of assessed valuation.

"With continued investments in our organization, infrastructure and community, I am confident that this budget will position the City of Marshall to be successful in the future," Vossmer said. "We are putting strategic plans in place to ensure that the City of Marshall will be successful for future years to come as well. With everyone working together, we can ensure quality services are delivered to our community."
