Election Information

City Elections are ordered by the City Council and managed by the City Secretary. City elections are conducted in accordance with the Texas Election Code. The City of Marshall contracts with Harrison County to administer elections and tabulate ballots.

2026 General Election

The General Election for City Council Districts 5, 6, and 7 will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at the Marshall Convention Center located at 2501 E. End Blvd. South.

Candidates may submit an Application for Place on General Election Ballot between January 14, 2026 and February 13, 2026 at the City Secretary's Office. The application and other helpful information can be found in the May 2, 2026 Candidate Packet.

Early voting will be held at the Harrison County Elections Office, 415 E. Burleson Street, April 20, 2026 through April 24, 2026 from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and April 27, 2026 and April 28, 2026 from 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM.
