Biography

Amy Ware was elected in May 2019 to serve the citizens of District 4 and currently serves as Mayor. Council Member Ware is a 1994 graduate of Elysian Fields High School and a 1998 graduate of Centenary College. She earned her Master’s in Political Science from the University of Houston. 

Ms. Ware and her husband Dr. James Love have been married since 1997 and are the proud parents of twin daughters, Carolann and Adeline Love, who attend Marshall Junior High School.

The family moved to the area upon completion of his service to the U.S. Air Force and opened Love Cosmetic and General Dentistry in Marshall in July of 2005. They built a new building for their practice in downtown Marshall and moved into their current location in 2010.

Employment

Council Member Ware has worked in government for the Houston Galveston Area Council of Government, University of Houston, and the University of North Dakota. Currently, she serves as the business manager for Love Cosmetic and General Dentistry.
