Establishing New Service
New service can be established during regular office hours (Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm) at the Water Billing Office located at City Hall:
401 S Alamo Boulevard
Marshall, TX, 75670
In most cases, your water service will be connected the same day if you establish service before 3 pm.
The applicant will need to provide valid picture ID (driver’s license or ID card) and their Social Security Number (SSN) for identification purposes.
If the applicant owes an outstanding balance at a previous address, the outstanding balance and a new deposit will be required before service can be connected.
If the address the applicant is applying for has an outstanding balance, the applicant will need to have the owner or property manager provide the following information:
- Who was the previous tenant?
- When did the previous tenant move?
- Where did the previous tenant move?
- Who is the new tenant?
- When did the new tenant move in?
The new tenant may establish service upon completion of the above information.
Accounts can be closed by calling 903-935-4435 or by visiting the Water Billing Office at 401 S Alamo Boulevard.
Please have the following information readily available to close your account:
- Name on account
- Service address
- Forwarding address
- Date to discontinue service
- Driver’s License or ID number
Any deposit on your account will be applied towards your final bill.
Transfer of Service
Accounts may be transferred from one location to another by visiting the Water Billing Office at 401 S Alamo Boulevard.
Any past due balance on the current account must to be paid in full before the transfer can be processed. A Transfer of Service form must completed, positive ID submitted, and a $15 service fee will be applied to the next water bill.
