NEIGHBORLY is a new City initiative which will match community volunteers with homeowners in need of minor exterior home repairs and help with small projects around the house.

Applications for homeowners to request an extra pair of hands and applications for volunteers willing to help are available at the Water Billing department in City Hall and Marshall Public Library. Applications may also be directly completed online (homeowners|volunteers).

Homeowner and volunteer applications are due Monday, March 4, 2024 and may be returned by mail to P.O. Box 698 (75671), delivered to City Hall, or emailed to

Job requests will only be accepted for owner-occupied homes and priority given to seniors, residents with disabilities, veterans, and other special populations. City staff will review homeowners’ applications and make home visits to assess the scope of work.

Workdays are scheduled for Saturday, April 13, 2024 and Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 8:00 am-Noon.  The number of job requests that can be accomplished during the NEIGHBORLY work days will be dependent upon volunteer participation and the availability of resources.
