Marshall Police Chief Cliff Carruth will be among the participants of the Pedestrian Safety Collaboration on August 4, 2022 at the Wiley College Campus. The event is sponsored by the Texas Department of Transportation and will help answer questions about pedestrian safety. Law enforcement officers will be given “pedestrian bags”, which will contain items to help educate pedestrians they may encounter during their duties. Media is invited to attend the presentation.
Pedestrian bags will be delivered to three law enforcement agencies in the Marshall area: Marshall Police Department, Harrison County Sheriff’s Office and Wiley College Police Department. The event will be in the Fred T. Long Student Union Ballroom at 711 Wiley Ave. in Marshall Texas at 10 a.m. Parking will be available in the lot located at Wiley Ave. and University, next to the security booth.
