Marshall Texas is honored to have four world-renowned institutions of higher learning located in our city: East Texas Baptist University, Wiley College, Texas State Technical College, and Panola College.

East Texas Baptist University (ETBU) provides academic excellence while integrating faith with learning. Wiley College is a four-year, privately-supported, historically black university located on the west side of Marshall, Texas. Wiley College holds distinction as one of the oldest historically black colleges west of the Mississippi River. http://www.wileyc.edu/

Texas State Technical College Marshall (TSTC) prepares its students with a rigorous and demanding curriculum to meet the high demands of an increasingly competitive global economy. The college's focus is on developing a technical curriculum and teaching methodologies that reveal the theoretical and practical application of applied technologies. The curriculum is delivered in state-of-the-art industry classrooms and laboratories.This industry standard curriculum prepares TSTC Marshall graduates for immediate employment in advanced and emerging technologies. Panola College enrollment has grown from fewer than 100 students at the first registration in January of 1948, to over 1,800. The college provides many services which enrich the lives of individuals in the region.The main campus of Panola College is located in Carthage, Texas, which is approximately 25 miles south of Marshall.  In 1998, Panola College requested authority to offer distance learning classes, and presently operates a branch campus here in Marshall. http://www.panola.edu/
