Second Saturday Downtown
From March to November, the second Saturday of each month combines food and shopping, art and musical entertainment, and classic cars in historic downtown Marshall, Texas.
Shopping begins at 10 a.m. when merchants open for business along North Washington Avenue. Various independent arts and crafts vendors pop up throughout the day on Second Saturday and feature an ever-changing array of merchandise like handcrafted jewelry, independent art, and books by local authors. Marshall's downtown shops and restaurants offer food and drink throughout the day, as well as unique gift and home furnishings, antiques, linens and fashion clothing and accessories. Hosted by Rusty Lugnuts and the Backroads Bunch of East Texas, the Marshall Main Street Cruise Night runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Cars line North Washington, which closes at 3 p.m. to allow time for the local hot rods, classic cruisers, motorcycles, and pride-and-joy hand polished collections to set up. There is no restriction or classification for vehicles, so anything goes! There's no entry fee but registration is required. Participants may register the day of. Musical entertainment typically begins around 8 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs for a free outdoor concert in the birthplace of Boogie Woogie at Telegraph Park located in the heart of downtown. The activities and entertainment lineup for Marshall Main Street's Second Saturday change monthly, so plan now to visit Marshall at least one weekend a month!
