Press Release—Warrant Recall
The Marshall Police Department, in conjunction with the Marshall Municipal Court and City Marshal’s Office, conducted a warrant recall from October 6-12 and a warrant round up from October 13-17. During these two weeks, a total of 380 warrants were cleared either by arrest and/or fine. During the warrant round up, October 13-17, a total of 47 individuals were arrested for outstanding warrants. A total of $93,000 in unpaid fines was collected during the operation.
Marshall Chief of Police Jesus “Eddie” Campa considers the recall and round up to have been a huge success. Chief Campa urges offenders to pay their fines on time and avoid the embarrassment of having Marshall Police officers arrest you at home, work, school, or even church. Chief Campa also stated that there will not be an advertised warning on the next round up, which will be coming up in the very near future.
