RE: Marshall Police Chief sets first initiative public meeting date
Marshall Police Chief Jesus “Eddie” Campa announced Monday that the first public meeting for
the Marshall Police Department’s racism-eradication initiative, ‘No Colors, No Labels,’ will be
held from 6 – 7 p.m., Thursday, July 16 in the training room at the Marshall Police Department.
NCNL was launched by Campa as an effort to stop racism by promoting diversity and acceptance
of all, and to strive to erase preconceived notions that police are racially-motivated. Through
the use of social media, information about NCNL has been disseminated to the public to attract
participants. (
Videos, starring a group of teenagers from the Boys & Girls Club of the Big Pines and Wiley
College President Hal Strickland, have been published as support tools for the initiative, as well
as photos of various citizens holding up #nocolorsnolabels and #humanlivesmatter signs.
At the Thursday meeting, Chief Campa will give a presentation to the public regarding the ‘No
Colors, No Labels Initiative,’ and have community members register to be a part of the initiative.
He also will unveil the new website and a schedule of future activities planned.
Attendees interested will also have the opportunity to participate in the awareness campaign
that would involve official photos and videos.
