Re: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
THE CITY OF MARSHALL IS HEREBY NOTIFYING POSSIBLE AFFECTED BUSINESSES AND RESIDENTS ON EAST HOUSTON, FROM ALAMO BLVD., EASTWARD TO HWY. 59 THAT THE ASPHALT OVERLAY PROJECT WILL BEGIN MOVING FORWARD AGAIN ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD AND NO ON-STREET PARKING WILL BE ALLOWED DUE TO CONSTRUCTION ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY THE 3RD AND 4TH (WEATHER PERMITTING).
NO on-street parking will be allowed on Monday November 3rd and Tuesday November 4th on the following streets.
“No” on-street parking and limited travel access areas:
· East Houston – from Alamo Blvd. eastward to Hwy. 59
The 5 day weather forecast is calling for a chance of rain next week, starting on Tuesday – this may change the asphalt overlay schedule for Tuesday and the balance of next week. We will provide updates when we have better indicators of the weather next week.
The contractor will make every effort possible to accommodate emergency access needs and limit impact to residents and businesses on the affected streets.
We offer a sincere apology for the daytime interruption during this paving process.
Street and parking striping will follow as soon as the asphalt has cured, normally a week to 10 days (depending on the weather).
