NEWS RELEASE: Man Arrested In Connection With Double Murder; Killer Still At Large
ARRESTED: Thomas Andrew Craig, 18 (Source: Harrison County Jail)
A Hallsville man is behind bars on charges related to a Capital Murder case in Marshall. Thomas Andrew Craig, 18, was taken into custody on March 7 for allegedly hiding the firearm used in the murders of 31-year-old Leon Bowman and 30-year-old Justin Williams. On Friday, March 2, at approximately 1:40 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 1500 block of E. Fannin Street for a welfare check. After arriving on the scene, officers discovered Williams and Bowman’s bodies inside a duplex. During the investigation, evidence was discovered that led investigators to believe that 46-year-old Jesus Molina Delatorre killed Bowman and Williams before fleeing the scene. After leaving the scene, Delatorre went to Thomas Craig’s home and asked him to dispose of the weapon. Craig later revealed to authorities where he had hidden the weapon. Craig was subsequently charged with Tampering with Evidence and booked into the Harrison County Jail.
Delatorre is charged with Capital Murder and is still being sought by local and federal authorities. Anyone with information on where Delatorre can be located is urged to call the Marshall Police Department at 903-935-4575. Those wishing to remain anonymous are urged to call Marshall/Harrison County Crime Stoppers at 903-935-9969.
