NEWS RELEASE: Crash Claims Life of Marshall Woman
The Marshall Police Department is investigating a three-vehicle crash that claimed the life of an East Texas woman. On Wednesday, November 14 at approximately 5:57 a.m., officers responded to the 4200 block of East End Boulevard South on reports of a multiple-vehicle crash with injuries. Preliminary reports suggest that a passenger car was traveling northbound in the inside lane and rear ended another vehicle. The passenger car then entered the outside northbound lane and was struck by a large truck. Both occupants in the passenger car were transported to Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall where the passenger later died. No other injuries were reported. The passenger has been identified as 44-year-old April Hayner, of Marshall. Hayner’s next of kin has been notified. The crash remains under investigation.
