MPD Names Civilian, Officers of the Quarter
The Marshall Police Department recognized three employees Wednesday, February 8, during a private ceremony. Lieutenant Len Ames and Sergeant Andy Nixon were named as Officers of the Quarter, and Donald Gordon, a Marshall Animal Control Officer, was named Civilian of the Quarter.
The Marshall Police Department also presented four “Blue Line Awards” to various city leaders during the ceremony. The awards were given to recognize individuals and organizations within the City of Marshall who have shown great support to the police department. A video showcasing each recipient’s good works was played before the citizen or organization was given a “Blue Line Award” trophy.
“The ‘Blue Line Award’ is our way of showing our gratitude to the organizations, businesses and citizens of Marshall who have gone above and beyond to continuously support the Marshall Police Department,” explained Marshall Police Department’s Public Information Officer Kelly Colvin.
The “Blue Line Award” recipients in Wednesday’s ceremony are as follows: Marshall Against Violence, Robert Evans, South Marshall PTA and Randy Pritchard, who works in the support services department for the City of Marshall. Pritchard is also a reserve police officer and a volunteer firefighter.
