Burn Ban in Effect

Image for Burn Ban in Effect

A Burn Ban has been issued for Harrison County and the City of Marshall effective today, October 10, 2016. Dry conditions combined with the elevated temperatures have led to the decision to issue the burn bans. The Marshall Fire Department will not be issuing burning permits during this time. Residents within the city limits of Marshall that obtained a burning permit prior to the issuance of this burn ban may have their permit extend once the burn ban has been lifted. Marshall residents may bring their permit to the Central Fire station, located at 601 S. Grove St. once the burn ban has been lifted in order to receive an extension. For more information please contact the City of Marshall Fire Marshal’s Office at 903-935-4584.
