Our Purpose
The purpose of Health Inspections is to provide health inspection services of all food service establishments to the citizens and visitors of Marshall, Texas and Harrison County so they can eat and purchase meals and food products that are produced and sold under the State and local laws designed to protect the health and life safety of the public.

Our Responsibilities

•Inspection in accordance with state law of all food service establishments such as restaurants, schools, groceries, convenience stores, mobile food units, and bakeries
•Investigate all health related complaints
•Provide training and education for food service personnel
Health Permits for Food Establishments and Day Care Centers

The City of Marshall Health Inspections Division is responsible for conducting recurring inspections on all food service establishments within the City of Marshall, Texas. These inspections are in accordance with State and local laws designed to protect the health and safety of the public.
