The Story of the Marshall Convention Center – Theater Complex

Welcome to the Marshall Convention Center!

We are pleased that you stopped by and are considering our facility to host your upcoming event. We are a multi-purpose facility located in East Texas.

Whether you are planning

• A convention or trade show for several thousand
• A seminar for a few hundred
• A corporate meeting
• A special banquet or wedding
• A stage performance
• A high school prom or graduation
The Marshall Convention Center is ready for you. So, “PLAN TO ENJOY”
The story begins on December 16, 1965 when a Bond Issue was passed for the construction of a
Convention Center-Theater complex. The Ribbon Cutting ceremony held on February 24, 1977,
the citizens of Marshall proudly began using the facility. In October 1984 the 1600 seat Theater
was completed.
Booking at the Marshall Convention Center has surpassed the city’s most optimistic estimates.
From the Theater to Caddo Hall, and then the smaller meeting rooms, interested groups find that
reservations must be made months in advance to assure availability of the facility they desire.
Groups renting the facility represent virtually every facet of life in East Texas - social, religious,
ethnic, historical, educational, business and political.
