LearningExpress Library

LearningExpress Library is a comprehensive, interactive online learning platform of practice tests and tutorial course series designed to help students and adult learners succeed on the academic or licensing tests. Features include immediate scoring, complete answer explanations, and an individualized analysis of results.

NewsBank

Through the NewsBank database, Marshall Public Library has access to the Texas Newspaper Collection, America’s News Magazines, and Special Reports.


The Texas Newspaper Collection contains over 50 electronic editions for local, regional, and statewide newspapers—all in one easy-to-search database.  Each paper provides unique coverage of local and regional news.  Paid ads are excluded.  The Marshall News Messenger  is searchable through this database dating back to August 30, 2004.

America’s News Magazines contains coverage of U.S. and international news, business, lifestyle, entertainment, sports, and science and technology from a number of familiar magazines.

NewsBank's Special Reports focus on topics of current interest. They include content from sources throughout the world to provide a global perspective, current and background information, statistics, maps, images, websites, and suggested search terms. New information is added daily to featured and current reports.

TexShare Database

The commercial databases licensed by TexShare include over 38,000 electronic information resources that are authoritative, ad free, and appropriate for children.  The databases include resources such as full-text articles from popular periodicals, medical resources and health information, e-books and academic reference materials, newspapers and magazines from around the world, hundreds of popular periodicals, genealogy and history resources, just to name a few.......

At a value of close to $200,000, the TexShare Databases are the best information resources available free to individuals with a Marshall Public Library card.  Library card holders may call the library at (903) 935-4465 to receive a user name and password to access the databases.

Thomson Gale LegalForms

Thomson Gale LegalForms provides the most extensive free forms site available to library patrons. Thousands of legal forms are available with more added on a continual basis. Official, State Specific, Federal, Business, Personal, Real Estate, and General forms cover hundreds of legal subjects and issues. Forms available are drafted by attorneys for a particular legal matter, from public records, and from participating companies and attorneys. 

Basic forms included on this site cover the following categories: Real Estate, Leases, Corporations, Employment, Wills, Sale of Property, Loans and Financing, and Other Business Forms. Complex forms are available but should only be used as a guide. These are better suited for attorneys than individuals.
