Emergency Medical Services

The Marshall Fire Department operates three front-line MICU capable ambulances, one ambulance for each of our three stations. We also have three reserve MICU capable ambulances.

The Marshall Fire Department is a busy Emergency Medical Services provider, serving the City of Marshall and surrounding areas of Harrison County. Our primary responsibility is emergency pre-hospital care; in addition we provide emergency and non-emergency ambulance transfer services.

In 2006, we responded to 6008 total EMS calls, averaging 500 EMS responses every month.

Our departmental goal is to be 100% Fire Fighter/Paramedic staffed. This goal will be accomplished through active recruitment of EMT-Paramedics and EMT-Paramedic students.
