The public is invited to an open house to review possible routes for I-69 in Harrison County. The event will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 28 in the Marshall Convention Center. A working group of community leaders from Marshall and Harrison County have been at work for several months reviewing possible routes. The open house is a continuation of this citizen-led planning effort. You can read more about the proposed options (HERE).

The Marshall Police Department in conjunction with Wal-Mart will host a Pet Adoption Event, where the public is invited to come out and help find homes for some loving animals. The Marshall Animal Control Office (ACO) will have a variety of cats and dogs that will be available for adoption. The Marshall Police Department is also inviting the public to come out and meet some of the members of the Marshall Criminal Apprehension Team (MCAT), Special Response Team (SRT), Patrol Bureau and Motorcycle Division. The Pet Adoption/Meet & Greet Event will take place in the Wal-Mart parking lot located at 1701 E. End Blvd North (Hwy 59 North), on Saturday October 25, 2014 from 10am-2pm. Come out adopt a pet, meet your local police officers and even see some of the exciting equipment used by the Marshall Police Department.


Adopted Tax Rate

City of Marshall Adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last years tax rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by 7.18 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a 100.00 home by approximately $28.69.
